Last week was a busy week for Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor. With the situation and the challenges facing the ethanol industry, somebody is needing to go to bat for producers and refiners. Emily did just that, even while the EPA put more speed bumps in front of the Renewable Fuels Standard.

Last Tuesday Emily Skor testified in the halls of Congress about Renewable Energy in the rural economy. She said that she found positive responses on a bipartisan stance.

There are some headwinds in the Senate for the Build Back Better Act. Many supporters of the biofuels industry have expressed reluctance to support the legislation. Legislation which includes funding for the industry.

Just minutes after we started talking, Emily received word that the EPA was going to extend the RVO compliance deadlines for 2019, 2020, and 2021. Skor says she was frustrated that an EPA that said it would fix the mess, would just kick the can down the road. She adds that this keeps things uncertain and rewards big oil

Skor encourages everybody to join Growth Energy during the upcoming comment period for this proposal. Tell the EPA that this is unacceptable.
