Wyffels Hybrids seed production facility continues to expand

Business has more than doubled for the Wyffels Hybrids company in the past five years. That growth was on display firsthand for the Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network as we toured the seed production facility last week.

The IARN visited the Wyffels Hybrids seed production facility last week in Atkinson Illinois. Our tour guide, Keith Kutzbach, mentioned the growth on display at the site.

Kutzbach says Wyffels is a family-owned company that focuses on the quality of its seed that it sells to producers.

He says customers have responded well to a personal connection with the Wyffels company.

The expansion to the seed production site in Atkinson includes grain dryers, shelling facilities, and additional storage.

The site also is home to a new conditioning tower that is capable of processing 1,000 bushels per hour.

Much of the equipment and machinery is designed and made specifically for Wyffels Hybrids.
