Will new Congress fund rural infrastructure?

New infrastructure to be built in rural America is a great hope for those who use roads and waterways for commerce.

The Trump Administration made a feeble effort to spend money to build lock, dams, repair bridges and roads, but the plan called for most of the money to come from sources other than the federal government.

Democrats, who will run the House of Representative in 2019 and 2020, seem even more keen on improving the infrastructure of our interior.

Mike Steenhoek, executive director of the Soy Transportation Coalition (STC), gives his view on what may or may not happen in the years ahead.
