Biofuel industry made it’s way to Kansas City last week to appeal in mass for the EPA to expand the renewable Fuel Standard. On the other side of the table set the EPA staff members. Ben Hanks led the EPA delegation that heard testimony on whether the renewable fuel standard should raised or lowered. He is required to propose standards that apply to refiners and others to increase the amount of renewable fuel in the transportation sector every year. Hanks says, ?Between now and Nov 30th we will take both this public comment we are getting today in hearing testimonies. We also will get written comment from folks. Our team takes that back, we analyze it, deliberate it, and we talk with our senior management and leadership, and then we put out a final rule by November 30th.?
