Weather may drive corn higher, soybeans lower

This past week?s weather has changed many things in the Midwest.

Losses are running high for farmers, ranchers and livestock feeders. Estimates in Nebraska alone are one-billion-dollars of damage. Road closures and infrastructure breakdowns are estimated to be costing a million dollars a day.

The future may hold more news, both good and bad.

I spoke with Bryce Anderson, chief meteorologist for DTN, and asked what may set up to compound problems for farmers in Nebraska and western Iowa.
