The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship wants to remind producers there is cost-sharing funds available to establish different modes of water quality protection.

Iowa Ag Secretary Mike Naig says as producers look to 2019, if they have determined to do some water quality improvements, now is the time to get the ball rolling.
Some options that are funded include: cover crops, strip-till/no-till and nitrification inhibitors.
If you are thinking about employing these practices, now is the time to decide. Others have already made the move.
Secretary Naig encourages producers to get their applications in by July 27th.
