USMEF president discusses supply chain challenges

The leader of the U.S. Meat Export Federation says that while global demand for U.S. red meat is surging and exports are on a record pace this year, the severity of supply chain disruptions can’t be overstated.

USMEF president and CEO Dan Halstrom tells the Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network that transportation challenges are a huge concern for their members throughout the supply chain. USMEF members recently approved a resolution pledging to work with meat and livestock industry partners to seek solutions to current logistical challenges across the supply chain.
