Rural broadband is severely lacking, there is no debate about that. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) released a study titled, ?A Case for Rural Broadband?. An American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) economist sees broadband as a potential for increased production.

Megan Nelson is an economic analyst for the AFBF. She says the report illustrates the importance of getting rural broadband done.

Nelson believes the livestock industry will reap the greatest benefits from a full implementation of rural broadband.

USDA also laid out a plan to move forward with rural broadband implementation.
