Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has announced 186 projects that will receive USDA Rural Development loans and grants.
This announcement includes $4.4 million of additional resources under the Community Facility Grant and Loan Program in 32 states and Washington, D.C., as well as $10.3 million in the Intermediary Re-Lending program. Vilsack says these rural loans and grants help create jobs and improve quality of life, which are an integral part of the rural development section of the farm bill.
Iowa communities received 13 grants and one loan; most were for emergency and fire equipment, or hospital equipment. You can find a complete list below, or click here to see all 186 projects as a .pdf file.
