While U.S. beef has been exported to China for some time, developing the market is still a work in progress. The first shipments of U.S. beef are just now reaching China’s shores.

At the end of this month, the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) will begin to showcase U.S. beef in some China?s largest cities.

An USMEF official said the organization works diligently in gaining greater acceptance of American beef in China. Dan Halstrom, with USMEF, spoke recently with Ron Hays, of the Rural Oklahoma Radio Network. The two discussed recent events and the U.S. beef outlook in the Chinese market.
