A glimmer of progress is a glimmer of progress. The European Union (EU) and the U.S. are having talks to help get more U.S. Beef into Europe.

US Meat Export Federation Economist Erin Borror talks about why changes are needed in the EU?s duty-free import beef quota. This has made it difficult for U.S. beef to be exported into Europe.

Borror says the situation is causing issues for consumers who want to purchase quality U.S. beef on a consistent basis.

Borror says changes to the program can help U.S. beef markets grow.
