All cows and heifers that have calved came in at 39.8 million head, a drop of two percent from a year ago. All cattle and calves in Canada totaled 12.3 million head as of July 1, down three percent from the 12.6 million head on July 1, 2021. All cows and heifers that have calved hit 4.69 million head on July 1, a number that?s down one percent from a year ago.
