America?s top executive expressed continued support for renewable fuels during his visit to Iowa.

President Donald Trump spoke to leaders in agriculture and renewable fuels at Kirkwood Community College Wednesday evening before speaking to a packed arena of supporters at the U.S. Cellular Center in downtown Cedar Rapids. During both speeches, Trump stressed the importance of renewable energy, specifically renewable fuels.

?By the way, we?re saving your ethanol industries in the state of Iowa,? Trump said at a rally of around 7,800. ?Just like I promised to do in my campaign. And believe me, they are under siege folks.?

Iowa Renewable Fuels Association (IRFA) Executive Director Monte Shaw thanked President Trump for his support.

?Moving the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) forward, breaking down barriers to E15 and opening up key export markets like China are vital to Iowa?s future,? Shaw said. ?We applaud President Trump and his administration for working with us on each of these areas.?

Shaw added a lot of progress has been made and stressed to the Trump Administration the importance of final victories in these areas to unlock the potential for jobs and stronger rural America.
