It appears the Trump Administration is planning to allow E15 sales year-round.

Senator Chuck Grassley states: President Donald Trump, at an agriculture roundtable today, announced his support for year-round E15 sales without a cap on Renewable Identification Number (RIN) prices.

Ethanol proponents rigorously argue year-round sales of 15% ethanol blended fuels would be a ?win-win? for ethanal and refiners, who have alleged RIN prices are overburdensome. President Trump said, ?We?re going to raise it to 15%,? adding the move ?makes a lot of people happy.?

Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor commended President Trump, calling his move ?a common sense fix.? Skor says lifting the Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) limits on summer-time E15 sales ?allows retailers to offer better options alongside traditional blends all year long.?

National Farmers Union president Roger Johnson also applauded President Trump. However, he insist ?more can and should be done for higher blends of ethanol.? His organization calls on the Administration to eliminate similar barriers to expanded use of higher blends of ethanol, such as E30.
