Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. – 1 John 4:8

Today, is my first married Valentine’s Day! (Yay)

I love being married, and I even more so love being married to Harold. But, Harold?s love still fails me.

The definition of love is an intense feeling of deep affection.

Love is mentioned 551 times in the Old Testament, and 232 in the New Testament. God had a lot to say about love.

The definition of unfailing, is without error or fault.

The one that you love the most on this earth will still fail you.

However, there is a love that is described as unfailing in the Bible. God?s love is unfailing.

Scripture literally says you can?t love if you don?t know God. God is the definition of what love is. You can?t out love God. He is the ultimate definition of love.

God loves you and I so incredibly much!

He loves us so ferociously and sacrificially, that he sent His only son to personally die for us.

On top of that, He willingly did it with outstretched arms.

When we think of love we automatically pick a heart to describe love, and this holiday. Which isn?t necessarily a bad thing. However, the ultimate symbol of love is not heart shaped, but it’s cross shaped.

The cross was the deepest display of affection, devotion, and attachment that we will EVER receive.

He loves us more in a moment than any other man or person could love us throughout the course of a lifetime.

When Jesus went to the cross, He expressed that he would rather die than live without us.

Embrace the love of the creator of your heart, who loves you with an unending, unrelenting, and unfailing love.

Happy Valentine’s Day! You’re loved by the creator of love.

Prayer: “Jesus, thank you for loving me as much as you do. Thank you for dying for me. I’m so grateful that you deemed me lovable. Jesus, I love you.”
