Whether or not it is officially acknowledged, the first week of Spring is celebrated as National Ag Week, and Tuesday is National Ag Day. It is a time we celebrate the role farmers and the rest of the ag industry plays in keeping our country fed, clothed, and fueled.
It?s a day where we hope that consumers, which make up 100% of the population will take the time to appreciate all the hard work that farmers are doing to fulfill the needs of people around the world.
I talked this morning with Iowa Agriculture Secretary Mike Naig. He talks about what Iowa Farmers can be proud of.
