96.7 FM went on the air in 1995 as ‘KLBA – Farm Country.’ It was purchased in 2007 by Chariton native, Joe Milledge, and its call letters were changed to KIIC. In 2011, Milledge built a new 450′ tower just west of Albia to improve coverage into Ottumwa and Oskaloosa.

Community Involvement: KIIC connects with the community through several unique events, including: KIIC’s BaconTown, KIIC’s Farm Show, KIIC’s Food Truck Frenzy, KIIC’s Wing Ding Fling Thing and KIIC’s ‘Light the Night’ Easter Egg Hunt in the Park After Dark.

Coverage: KIIC serves 19 counties in southern Iowa.

Format: ‘Real’ Country – The moniker for KIIC is ‘Thunder Country,’ and it is an agriculture focused station.

KIIC also carry national sporting events such as the SuperBowl, FinalFour, the Bowl Championship Series (BCS), and is the area’s NASCAR affiliate.
