Bill Backhaus is an agronomist and Xitavo soybean expert with BASF and he says that there are three areas of planting soybeans that he focuses on in order to maximize yields.

The second focus is the environment that you will be placing the seed into and in Iowa that can vary greatly says Backhaus.
He says the third focus that must be given a lot of attention is the management of your soybean fields.
Backhaus says early planting has shown some yield benefits but that planting too late can be bad news for your yields.
