Threats against Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt increase.
According to CNN, because of this, the agency plans to hire more security agents. EPA plans to hire a dozen or more agents to protect Pruitt 24/7. This was not the case for EPA administrators who came before Pruitt but some did receive security while traveling.
CNN says the salaries alone for the full team will cost at least $2 million per year. These numbers do not include costs such as training, equipment, and travel.
