There is a Way

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19

The other day I was on my way to the salon, when a train passed through town and decided to take it’s sweet time.

I promise it was six years long. It then decided to stop and just sit on the tracks.

All the cars behind me turned around, and all the cars on the other side of the railroad tracks took a side street.

I on the other hand, sat there for about 15 minutes.

After looking around and noticing that I was the only car sitting at this railroad, I began wondering if there was something I didn’t know that everyone else knew.

Eventually, I turned around and headed down another street.

To my surprise I saw an overpass with a train sitting on it. I was the only one sitting at the railroad because just down the street there was a way under the railroad tracks.

I could continue on my way without waiting a lifetime for this train.

In the car that day God revealed to me that there is always a way, it might just not be the way I pictured taking.

Friend, rest assured today that God makes a way where there seems to be no way.

You might feel like you’re sitting at a railroad crossing that isn’t going to move anytime soon.

However, God is working and he may move you to a street you didn’t plan on taking, but you’ll get to exactly where you need to be.

Prayer: “God thank you for the detours in life that take me to exactly where I needed to end up. Help me to praise you during the times I am taking the side road.”

Side note: when I got the salon it was closed. So I waited, for nothing.
