Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you. -Psalm 55:22
Thor our little dog just got a hair cut for the first time since October.
No, I’m not a bad dog owner, I’m just an incredibly busy one.
Anyways, he now looks ten pounds lighter than a couple days ago.
He was carrying pounds of fur, and it was most definitely weighing him down.
How often do we carry pounds of things from life that are just weighing us down?
We are carrying it, and it isn’t even necessary to do so.
Friend, you don’t have to carry everything. Sometimes it’s time to let what you’re carrying go.
God wants to take that thing you’re carrying, and carry it for you.
Take it from Thor, it feels great to be free from what was once weighing you down.
Prayer: “God, thank you for carrying my burdens and caring about the things that are weighing me down. Help me to be free from the things that I need to let go of.”
