To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. -Ecclesiastes 3:1

I can’t believe that we are already twenty days into October. Time, and seasons are kind of a weird thing. I love fall. It is one of my favorite seasons. Imagine a world without fall. No chilly football weather. No combines in the fields. No trees changing into vibrant colors. No pumpkin pie. No bright red apple orchards. No corn mazes. No fall.

Seasons can be really beautiful, but they can also be really ugly. The thing with seasons is that they are always changing…especially here in Iowa. Being an Iowan means that you get to experience all four seasons. Seasons bring an array of all kinds of different things.

What I have learned, is that life is full of seasons. I’ve also learned, that you rarely stay in the same season for a long period of time. A certain season of life, is typically not forever.

Friend, I don’t know what season of life you are in right now. I pray it is a good and joyful one, but if it is not…. God is the God of every season. He is in every season, and He cares about your every season. In every season, He is still God.

I challenge you to appreciate and seek Christ in whatever happens this fall season.

Prayer: “God, thank you for walking through every season of life with me. Thank you that even though things such as seasons are always changing, you are constant. In your name I pray, Amen!”
