Listen Here: Dr. Charles Hatcher

On Friday afternoon, Dr. Charles Hatcher, the State Veterinarian for the Tennessee Department of Agriculture explains that all controlling procedures are holding for the high pathogen avian influenza (HPAI).

Hatcher says there has been no new disease outbreak in the past ten days.

“We hope we are on the back end of it right now.”

The earliest a controlled zone can be released is 21 days from the cleaning and disinfection of the effected houses.
