While there is still much to do to improve agricultural trade around the globe, there is some good news on the beef front in Taiwan. We are seeing steady growth for U.S. beef exports there. Taiwan has already matched last year?s imports in only the first three quarters. The total is on pace for 500 million dollars? worth of trade. U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) Senior Vice President for the Asian Pacific Joel Haggard explains.

Haggard says Taiwan is a good blueprint for expanding market shares into other Asian countries such as Vietnam.

Haggard says there is so much demand, the people of Taiwan can build a business around the use of U.S. beef.

Haggard says the Taiwan supermarket customers are more comfortable using U.S. beef.
