Protecting your investment is top of mind for producers every year, but even more so in 2020. We have had so many challenges facing us from weeds to disease, to commodity prices. Every plant in every acre counts. Syngenta has a new product called Saltro that is brand new in 2020. It is available to protect against Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) and Soybean Cyst Nematodes (SCN).
Paul Oklesh is with Syngenta. He gives us some background on the new Saltro product. He says it is the most active product that they have ever tested in the marketplace.
Saltro is a fungicide/nematicide product that is very comparable to BASF?s ILeVO ? without some of the stressors.
Oklesh says farmers need to make sure they aren?t in too much of a hurry. The less ideal of soil conditions you plant your soybeans in, the more chance you have to see SDS show up.
