Syngenta?s Agronomy in Action guide reviews data to benefit all producers

by | Mar 5, 2020 | 5 Ag Stories, News

Producers know that every piece of information is geared towards one objective; to get you to buy a product. That?s fair. If companies are pouring dollars and man-hours into gathering data to help you improve your operation, it is not unreasonable to expect they will use those results for their benefit and encourage you to use their product. However, how often do you see a company go a step further and not only try and show you the benefits of their products but also show you the benefits of their data collection, even if you are using a competitor?s product? That is precisely what Syngenta is doing in their ?Agronomy in Action: 2020 Research Review.?

Audio: Full Interview with Syngenta’s Andy Heggenstaller

Andy Heggenstaller is the Head of Agronomy for Syngenta Seeds. He tells us about the Research Review, and the benefit it can provide. It follows the research studies they conducted last year, especially through their Golden Harvest teams.

Heggenstaller says that Syngenta?s work is nowhere near done once a new product is released. Heggenstaller talks about the research they do before and after a product is commercialized.

All Golden Harvest customers will be receiving a hard copy of the review over the next few days and weeks. However, the information is not just for Syngenta customers. Heggenstaller says two-thirds of the information is agnostic of Golden Harvest. It contains reliable agronomy information, no matter whose products you use. The other third is information on those Golden Harvest hybrids which are available on the market for the 2020 growing season and beyond.

The guide is also available in a digital format through the Golden Harvest website.
