Dairy producers are meeting in Ames today and tomorrow for their annual meeting. The Iowa State Dairy Association Executive Director Jeff Cregger says the format of the event has changed.

“We wanted to add a lot more value or educational opportunities along with time to interact with our peers here in the industry.”

The organization will set policy for this year at a meeting beginning at 8:00am Friday morning.

“Members will review the 2017 policy book and provide guidance and input for 2018. We also changed it up allowing members to submit policy changes or recommendations online prior to the meeting. Then they will adopt and approve policy changes for fiscal year 2018,” Cregger says.

Featured speakers include Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey, Deputy Secretary Mike Naig, and Lt. Governor Adam Gregg.
