Farmers are itching to get into the field with warmer weather. An agronomist offers farmers spring agronomy tips ahead of the 2018 planting season.

The spring season has been taking its time in getting here. When nice days are few and far between, farmers start to get impatient. John Grandin, senior field sales agronomist with Growmark, encourages farmers to take it slow and breath as planting season is not that late.

Grandin is certain of Mother Nature providing us with exactly what we need, when we need it.

Another concern is the fact that there is still a substantial amount of anhydrous ammonia left to put on. Grandin warns farmers not to jump the gun.

He also urges farmers to make sure soils are not too wet when knifing in the anhydrous.

We will continue our talk with John Grandin, tomorrow. Tune in as John talks with us about soybean seed quality issues, on the Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network.
