The Farmers Business Network tent at the 2022 Farm Progress Show in Boone has been a hub of activity this week with presentations, exhibits, and one on one conversations designed to help farmers gather information and be more efficient with their operations.

Eric Wedig, a regional vice president with FBN, joined the Iowa Agribusiness radio network to discuss key issues facing livestock producers in 2022.

Wedig says one glaring problem facing producers right now is labor shortages and challenges.

Another issue producers have brought up with Eric this week is the challenge of feeding livestock more efficiently and economically.

Wedig also says producers are trying to find ways to bring more transparency to the livestock industry.

Farmers Business Network’s mission statement says that FBN strives to be an independent, unbiased, and objective farmer driven information source to power the prosperity of family farmers around the world.
