Have you hugged your agronomist today? You probably don?t have to go quite that far, but you can show them they are appreciated this week, during Agronomy Week.
April 2 through 6 is Agronomy Week. The initiative, started last year by DEKALB, Asgrow and Deltapine, gives farmers a chance to show appreciation for their agronomists, seed dealers and crop consultants. Without the efforts of these people, farmers would not be able to get the maximum production out of their crop land.
During Agronomy Week, farmers can nominate up to three members of their agronomy support team at AgronomyWeek.com or by posting the professionals? names on the DEKALB Asgrow Facebook page or Twitter by using the hashtags ?#AgronomyWeek? and ?#contest?.
Farmers who submit nominations will be entered in a national for tickets to a NASCAR race. Tickets will be made available to a farmer and up to three agronomists.
Pete Uitenbroek, DEKALB, Asgrow and Deltapine brand lead, is excited that the agronomy week partnership exists with NASCAR and driver Clint Bowyer. Uitenbroek says, ?Whether it?s on the track or in the field, performance depends on the team that you build around you.?
NASCAR Driver Clint Bowyer is proud to be a part of the campaign again this year. Bowyer said, ?Growing up in Kansas, I have a great appreciation for farmers. I?m honored to support such a worthy industry and excited to be part of Agronomy Week again.?
