Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue has issued disaster declarations for counties in Iowa. Some northern counties have suffered tornado and hail damage, while southern counties are experiencing drought.

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) State Director for Iowa Amanda De Jong says the disaster declarations in Iowa give them the opportunity to help.

De Jong says there are options in the loan program.

De Jong says the terms vary depending on the type of loan.

Producers are encouraged to talk with the USDA and their financial advisors to determine if these programs are right for them.
