During the President?s Day holiday break, Senator Chuck Grassley has been back in Iowa holding more meetings on his annual 99 county tour. The Senator says he is getting more positive feedback from farmers after the finalization of some of our trade deals.
Senator Grassley talks about the tour stops he is making and what he is hearing back from farmers on this tour.
Grassley also talked about trade talks with India ahead of President Trump?s visit there next week. The Senator says any trade deals with India will not be on the same scale as USMCA or China.
As far as negotiations with the United Kingdom (UK), it all hangs on agreements they make with the European Union (EU) as they make their ?Brexit.? Grassley feels we can easily negotiate with the UK, which will lead to easier negotiations with the EU.
