A major corn and soybean seed company agrees with a farmer-led network?s seed re-labeling study. Farmers Business Network hosted their annual Farmer2Farmer conference Thursday and Friday. President of Stine Seed Myron Stine was there.

?There are more people here than I ever expected. That goes to show what FBN is doing. The content of the show is very interesting. I think it is a group taking the latest technology to help farmers and think it is a wonderful thing,? Stine said.

FBN’s seed relabeling study sparked Stine?s interest the most.

?I like it. For Stine, we?re breeders and if you look at our corn lineup, most of it is exclusively ours. It has our female and male on it. It is not a product you can find anywhere else. It actually helps us when people see there are Stine hybrids out there not sold by other companies,? Stine said.

FBN found several companies were using the same seed in different brands. This has been known in the farming community for years but FBN was one of the v. Around 1,300 farmers from across the country attended the Farmer2Farmer conference in Omaha late last week.
