President Donald J. Trump is calling on lawmakers to amend the $900 billion coronavirus relief package, passed by Congress late Monday.

President Trump shared a video message on Tuesday, which addresses the legislation. President Trump calls the bill “a disgrace,” as it fails to provide “urgently needed relief.”

“It really is a disgrace,” President Trump says. “Among the 5,000 pages in this bill, which nobody in Congress has read because of its length and complexity, is (what’s) called the COVID relief bill, but it has almost nothing to do with COVID.”

The bill contains “wasteful and unnecessary items,” according to President Trump. He goes on to add, “The $900 billion package provides hardworking taxpayers with only 600-dollars; not enough money is given to small businesses, in particular, restaurants.”

The coronavirus relief package contains $13 billion for agriculture assistance and programs, which provides benefits to biofuel producers, livestock farmers, row crop producers and more.
