Trade is a frightening topic in agriculture, and it isn?t getting any better.

United States Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue addressed the World Meat Congress in Dallas. Perdue said we cannot afford trade disruptions in agriculture, especially in light of tariffs put on Canada, Mexico and the European Union (EU), yesterday, by the United States.

Perdue added that he is hopeful agreement can be reached on a revised North American Free Trade Agreement this year.

Perdue also addressed uncertainty in Chinese Trade.

Perdue says he sympathizes with the anxiety trade is causing farmers.
