President Trump announced he was directing the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to allow year-round sales of E15 on October 9th. The Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) decided to put rumors and fears to rest, right now.

According to Geoff Cooper President and CEO of the RFA, the oil industry is still using claims which have been refuted on numerous occasions. The first is that cars won?t handle E15. Cooper explains a study just released.

There is the rumor E15 will be bad for the environment, increasing smog and ozone. Air quality expert, Janet Yanowitz, P.E., Ph.D., of Ecoengineering, Inc says there is no evidence to support those claims.

The EPA still needs to go through a public comment period before writing the actual rule.
