Carson Rieck of Creston will enter his steer, Remi, into the Governor?s Steer Show at the Iowa State Fair on Saturday. Carson says he was asked to enter a steer into the show and jumped at the opportunity.
Rieck says that his steer started at the county fair level before moving onto the state fair.
Rieck tells the Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network that he had a good feeling that his steer could be destined for big events like the charity steer show.
Dr. Dan Grooms, Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine Dean with be showing Remi as a celebrity presenter. The Governor?s Charity Steer Show will take place at 4:30pm on Saturday in the Iowa State Fair Pavilion.
