This fall the National Pork Board released the latest in its Mythbusting series with Mythbusting 2.0. The series intends to tell the truth about pork production to consumers who can see how pigs are raised and what a modern hog operation is run.

Bob Ruth, vice president of the National Pork Board, says that the Mythbusting 2.0 campaign has been beneficial because of the reactions from consumers.

Mythbusting 2.0 is headlined and hosted by country music star Luke Bryan, who was raised on a family farm in rural Georgia. Bob Ruth says that speaking directly with consumers is the best way to tell the story of agriculture and raising pigs on the farm.

Ruth says that consumers mostly want more information about where their food comes from and how it is produced. Ruth says that is the job of everyone in the industry, to help inform consumers about the pork industry.
