The Pro Farmer Midwest Crop Tour is coming down to the finale.
The final states will be sampled today and the overall estimate of yield will come out tomorrow. Crop scouts yesterday were in western Iowa and Illinois.
The comparison of Iowa to Illinois is sharp: Illinois is variable and yields, are projected to be down from last year and average. In Iowa’s three western districts, the yield is projected to be higher than last year.
