We have been hearing about China and tariffs in some way, shape, or form since April. The two countries slapped each other with a boatload of tariffs so big, if it were an actual boatload, it would be subject to tariffs too. Now, the leaders plan to meet at the G-20 Summit.

When the G-20 summit is held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, this year, the leaders of the biggest economies in the world will be in attendance. This will include President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, leaders of the two largest economies in the world. This is the first direct talks between the two countries since August. Sources say China is seeking to forestall additional tariffs on goods exported to the United States.
Vice President Mike Pence says the Chinese economy is starting to feel the effects of the tariffs.

Some of the complaints against China stem from intellectual property theft and forced sharing of technology to do business in China. Pence says China has tried to turn America?s farmers against the administration by purchasing advertising in key ag markets.

Pence says producers still stand firm with the administration over the Chinese trade dispute. He says this support has been strengthened by the progress made in trade with Korea, Japan, Mexico, Canada, and the European Union.

Farmers will be watching, anxiously, next month to the talks between the two leaders.
