President Trump becomes the first president in 25 years to speak American Farm Bureau Convention.

The president addressed several thousand farmers at the Gaylord convention center in Nashville Monday afternoon.

?We know that our nation was founded by farmers. Our independence was won by farmers. Our continent was tamed by farmers. Our armies have been fed by farmers and made by farmers. Throughout history. Our farmers have led the way,? Trump said.

The president reassured the largest grassroots farm organization he would work to get a good trade deal between Mexico, the U.S. and Canada.

?We?re reviewing all of our trade agreements, so they are fair and reciprocal. On the North American Free Trade Agreement, I am working very hard to get a better deal to get a better deal for our country, farmers, and manufacturers,? Trump said.

He also talked about his tax bill, eliminating the Waters of the U.S. Rural, and rebuilding the nations crumbling roads and bridges.

At the end of his speech, President Trump signed two presidential orders providing broader and faster internet coverage in rural America.
