AUDIO: U.S. Representative Collin Peterson

A glimpse of what has gone on in the conference committee over the months to get a Farm Bill ready to be voted on by both houses and hopefully signed by the President.

Collin Peterson, the incoming chair of the House Agriculture Committee, spoke to reporters on Monday and revealed much about the process. He also touches on provisions, but those won?t be fleshed out until the bill is released.

Representative Peterson is a straight talking, moderate Democrat from Minnesota. He is a CPA by profession, but a long-time member of Congress.

Thanks to Red River Farm Network?s Cara Hart, here are excerpts from his speech earlier this week.
