The United States ? Mexico ? Canada Agreement (USMCA) is close to being brought to the floor of the U.S. House. On Thursday, Farmers for Free Trade held a rally in Washington, D.C. Several lawmakers came out and spoke in support of the agreement.

House Agriculture Committee Chairman Collin Peterson (D-MN 7) spoke about the need to get USMCA done so we can use the leverage with China and get Ag products moving again.

Former Iowa Governor and Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, now President & CEO of the U.S. Dairy Export Council, talked about the benefits to the dairy industry.

Congressman Kevin Brady (R-TX 8) talked about the benefits for agriculture in the agreement.

Congressman Henry Cuellar (D-TX 28) got the best response from the crowd when he said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will bring USMCA to the floor for a vote and was confident Congress will get there.

Politicians from both sides of the aisle who joined the rally praised U.S. Trade Ambassador Robert Lighthizer for the work he has done to help bring this trade agreement to the finish line.
