With an exponentially growing population, there is so much pressure on making sure that farmers are able to produce enough food to feed the world. Even with the increases we have seen in production, many factors can slow our efficiency. While many factors such as weather are out of our control, we have to work hard on those things we can. One of those areas is food waste. Two companies have joined together to help reduce the amount of grain being wasted while in storage.

There are estimates that as much as one-third of our food produced around the globe is wasted. The food chain needs to become more efficient and not be sitting on supplies for too long. That is why UPL and TeleSense have joined forces to offer ways to help the supply chain monitor grain conditions better in storage.

Francis Borges is the Global Head of Food Value Chain at UPL. He tells us about the partnership that has been formed. He says that UPL has been working on this project for over 50 years.

Borges tells us about how TeleSense works across all grain types to maximize the best timing for you to move the grain and still maintain a good profit margin.

Unlike many technologies, Borges says that TeleSense has a low start-up cost for users. UPL is already installing the systems. Technicians can help you get the devices set up and transmitting data right to your phone 24/7.
