Opioids on the loose in rural America

Forty-two thousand people died from opioid overdose in 2016. You know the names of the products: from Hydrocodone to Percocet. All of those affected by opioids were not from big cities. Many were from the smallest of communities. Many more have addictions that are just like ticking bombs.

FarmTownStrong, a campaign launched by the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) and National Farmers Union (NFU), seeks to address the rural opioid epidemic. AFBF?s Ray Atkinson says opioid addiction in rural farming areas is a major concern.
