The Ohio Farm Bureau recently hired new organizational directors to assist county groups as they develop and implement programs to strengthen their organizations and act as a liaison between county Farm Bureaus and the state office.
Kayla Jones of Newark has been named organization director for Coshocton, Holmes, Knox and Licking counties. She will assist county groups as they develop and implement programs to strengthen their organizations and enhance their ability to serve members and affect positive change in their communities.
Previously, Jones worked for the Licking County auditor?s office as director of CAUV and ag district programs and deputy director of oil and gas taxation. She also taught high school English and worked for the Tractor Supply Co. She has bachelor?s degree in English from Muskingum College and a master?s degree in Secondary English Education from Ohio State University as well as American and State FFA degrees.
Jones is Licking County Farm Bureau president and a graduate of AgriPOWER. She served on the board of Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation and received the Farm Bureau Member of Distinction award in 2015. She and her husband, Nick, raise beef cattle and hay with her parents. They have two children.
Ashley Rose of New Vienna has been named organization director for Clinton, Fayette, Greene and Warren counties. Rose started at Ohio Farm Bureau in 2016 when she was hired as an organization director-in-training.
Rose, who grew up on a small Highland County farm, has a bachelor?s degree in Extension education and animal sciences from Ohio State University and two associate degrees from Ohio State?s Agricultural Technical Institute. She was an agricultural ambassador for Ohio Farm Bureau during the Ohio State Fair and an intern for Ohio State University Extension in both Delaware and Wayne counties. She also was an ATI student ambassador, secretary for the Ohio Collegiate Cattle Association and is an FFA American Degree recipient.
Abra Dunn of Delaware has been named organization director for Crawford, Marion, Morrow and Richland counties. Dunn has 10 years of experience in various communications and marketing roles with United Producers, Inc. and J.D. Equipment, Inc. She has a bachelor?s degree in agricultural communication from Ohio State University.
Dunn was a Franklin County Farm Bureau board trustee and is a graduate of AgriPOWER. She grew up on a small grain and cattle operation and was active in 4-H and FFA. She is a member of First United Church of Christ in Shelby.
Audrey Hoey of Chillicothe has been named organization director for Fairfield, Hocking, Pickaway and Ross counties. Hoey graduated in May from Ohio State University with a bachelor?s degree in community leadership. She was an intern with Ohio Farm Bureau in the organization department, helping plan the Young Agricultural Professionals winter conference, AgriPOWER sessions and the county presidents? trip to Washington, D.C. She also had internships with ADM Grain in Illinois and Walt Disney Co. in Florida.
Hoey has an American FFA degree and traveled to Costa Rica as part of the National FFA?s Stars and Proficiency program as well as to Honduras for study abroad while in college. She is a member of Ross County Farm Bureau, Agriculture Future of America and Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association and was involved with 4-H, FFA and the county junior fair board.
