The Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network had a chance to stop by the Growmark tent at the 2022 Farm Progress show earlier this month and learn about nutrient management and water quality practices.
We visited with Jay Matthews, a technical agronomist with Growmark, who had an interactive display on hand that was able to show the results of different tillage and no till practices. Matthews explained the interactive set up.
Jay Matthews says that visual learning tools like the rainfall simulator help producers to see the results of different farming practices.
Matthews says that in an ideal world no till farming across the board would be the best case scenario. However, that is not a realistic approach so everyone needs to use the best practices for their farming operation while trying to opt for no till farming when possible.
