Northey will finish annual 99 county tour Monday

DES MOINES ? Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey today announced that he will be finishing his annual county visits on Monday, December 21 when he visits Mills and Fremont Counties. Northey will be visiting the Mills County Storehouse in Glenwood and Hamburg Interchurch Council Food Bank. Officials from the Iowa Food Bank Association and Food Bank of the Heartland will also be participating in the visits.

Mills County ? 10:30 a.m., Mills County Storehouse, 405 Nuckolls St., Glenwood

Fremont County ? 1:00 p.m., Hamburg Interchurch Council Food Bank, 1008 Main St., Hamburg

Northey, a corn and soybean farmer from Spirit Lake, is serving his third term as Secretary of Agriculture. His priorities as Secretary of Agriculture are promoting the use of science and new technologies to better care for our air, soil and water, and reaching out to tell the story of Iowa agriculture.
