President Donald Trump visits Cedar Rapids Wednesday as part of technology week.

The president will tour Kirkwood Community College?s ag program with Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue before a rally scheduled for 7:00pm at the U.S. Cellular Center. Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey will also be there.

?I think one of the things they will focus on is technology in agriculture and a little bit of discussion for broadband in our rural areas as we talk about infrastructure spending,? Northey said.

Northey also hopes Trump talks trade. Senator Chuck Grassley agrees.

?When he gets to big group?I hope he talks about trade and talks about the biofuels industry. He should also talk about international relations and the importance of the U.S. resuming as America?s leadership in the world,? Grassley said.

Northey is still rumored to have a position with the USDA but no confirmation as of yet. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is expected to attend the rally including Ambassador to China Terry Branstad.
