Agriculture is always moving into the future, generation by generation. It takes a lot of work and education to understand how farming works. The Iowa FFA Foundation is again partnering with Nationwide Insurance to recognize great Ag teachers in the state of Iowa through the Golden Owl Award.
Joshua Remington is the Executive Director of the Iowa FFA Foundation. He talks about the reasoning behind the Golden Owl Award.
Nominating an Ag teacher is simple. You just go right to the Golden Owl Award website before November 16th.
The six district finalists will receive a $500 cash prize, with the winner getting a $3,000 prize.
Nominees must be a current Ag educator in the state of Iowa to qualify for this award.
